What we check
How we look at an excavator
These tell us how much life and value is left in the machine.
Undercarriage
Tracks, rollers, idlers and sprockets.
Hydraulics
Leaks, cylinders and how the pump is holding up.
Engine
Whether it starts, smokes or has been parked for good.
Boom and swing
Cracks, worn pins and play in the swing.
Hours
How hard the machine has worked.
Attachments
What comes with it and what shape it is in.
Loading it out
Getting an excavator off the site
If the machine runs, it can usually track onto the trailer. If it does not, we plan the load around it. Soft ground, slopes, tight gates and overhead lines all change the plan, so mention them when you call.

Questions
Excavator removal questions
Do you buy mini excavators?
Yes. Minis are some of the most common machines we take, from landscaping units to the slightly bigger ones used for utility work. Running or not, send the make, model and hours.
Can you remove an excavator that won't start?
Yes. If it will not track onto a trailer, we plan another way to load it. Tell us about the ground, any slope, and anything overhead like power lines.
Are buckets and attachments included in the price?
They can add to it. A thumb, a few buckets or a breaker that come with the machine are worth mentioning when you ask for a quote.
What paperwork do I need?
Proof the machine is yours to sell, like a bill of sale or purchase records. If it was financed, the loan needs to be paid out first.
